Japanese Garden
Begin the year by embracing serenity and harmony! The Japanese Garden in San Mateo Central Park stands out as one of California's most exquisite gardens. Crafted by landscape architect Nagao Sakurai from the Imperial Palace of Tokyo, this garden showcases a granite pagoda, tea house, koi pond, and bamboo grove.
While the Japanese Garden captivates visitors all year round, it is especially enchanting during late Winter and early Spring when cherry blossoms adorn its surroundings.

The Lark Takes Home “Best Overall Display”!
Mission Accomplished!
We are thrilled to announce that The Lark has won Best Overall Display in this year’s Annual North Coast Living Food Drive Contest with our creative “Terminate Hunger” display! A huge thank you to all our residents who generously contributed to this impactful event.
Our properties embraced the festive spirit this year with a creative display contest. You can check out all the fantastic winners on the North Coast Instagram. Over the years, North Coast Living communities have donated an incredible 74,859 pounds of food—and with your generosity this year, that number is climbing even higher.
Any guesses where we’ll land this year? Stay tuned as we calculate the final totals and continue making a meaningful impact together.
